I’ve been slowly phasing out everything Google since Stadia. Stadia was not a huge surprise since they closed off their video game studios - at that point, it was clear that the writing is on the wall (after all, you need lots of investment for a new gaming platform to take off and it became obvious that Google wasn’t ready for that commitment). But even if it wasn’t a huge surprise, the messaging around it was all wrong: they even said they were not closing it shortly before closing it. They just can’t be trusted, and while you could say the same about most companies, Google is arguably worse in this regard than anything else in tech.
