Along with its warning on Tuesday, the HRC released a guidebook with summaries of laws in each state, “know your rights” information and resources for LGBTQ+ travelers as well as those already living in so-called hostile states.

Also, Michigan is a great state to move to if you have the option. We have great progressive leadership and the governor wants more residents.

I’ll add Minnesota to that as well! We’ve always been a pretty decent LBGT stronghold and this last legislative session has been phenomenal.

How’s the job market there, especially for IT jobs? I’m looking for remote stuff so that I could move anywhere but it seems like the whole IT sector is suffering at the moment so I’m also looking at in-person or hybrid jobs.

I can’t say for certain as it’s been 5+ years since I was looking for a job in the market, but according to Indeed there are quite a few. Remote is hard to get though.
