So are you guys anti-tankie (whatever that even means anymore) or not? Cuz you have Lenin in this image.
Are you Trotskyists? Cuz that would track with this image.
“I came to communism because of Stalin”
“Along the way, I had the opportunity to pass through the dominions of the United Fruit, convincing me once again of just how terrible these capitalist octopuses are. I have sworn before a picture of the old and mourned comrade Stalin that I won’t rest until I see these capitalist octopuses annihilated”
“In the so-called mistakes of Stalin lies the difference between a revolutionary attitude and a revisionist attitude. You have to look at Stalin in the historical context in which he moves, you don’t have to look at him as some kind of brute, but in that particular historical context. I have come to communism because of daddy Stalin and nobody can tell me that I mustn’t read Stalin. I read him when it was considered very bad to read him, but that was another time. And because I’m not very bright, and a hard-headed person, I will keep on reading him. Especially in this new period, now that it is worse to read him. Then, as well as now, I still find a series of things that are very good.”
All quotes from Che Guevara at various times in his life
Also is that Nelson Mandela on the far right of the image? Nelson Mandela was a communist. During his time in prison he handwrote the book "How to be a good communist. The first line of that book reads:
A Communist is a member of the Communist Party who understands and accepts the theory and practice of Marxism-Leninism as explained by Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin , and who subjects himself to the discipline of the Party. (See notes 1, 2, 3 & 4)
The Black Panther party, which Angela Davis was a member of, was good friends of the DPRK. Here is a 1969 cover of Black Panther magazine:
and here is some of his writings in the magazine in print:
Did Angela stop liking the dprk? I don’t think so. In 2017 she was part of a group (women cross dmz) calling for “peace with north korea”. This was always framed as anti-trump escalations but given her history it is quite fair to assume she is still involved in activism that would benefit the dprk because she still supports the dprk.
Incredible comment
And because I’m not very bright, and a hard-headed person, I will keep on reading him.
He’s just like me!

I couldn’t find an external source, where did you see this?
It’s in his autobiography, he says that he wrote it to prove a point to an SACP leader, Moses Kotane. In the autobiography he denies that he was a communist for political reasons, but we know from research published in 2011 that he factually was so when you combine it with the fact he wrote this… The answer is obviously that he wrote it sincerely.
The text of this handwritten book(more of a pamphlet really) is to my knowledge only available online on this incredibly suspicious pro-Rodesia site. Someone should really host it elsewhere.
Thanks for this and all the rest Awoo. Awesome as always.

Short of being able to host it elsewhere, here at least is an archived version of it for those who don’t want to give traffic to that place: https://archive.is/e9XXC
I have come to communism because of daddy Stalin
Did he really say it exactly this way
Some sources translate it as “papa” to make it less strange sounding but yes.
That’s equally rad, I love to see it
To my understanding, there was something of a line struggle in the Panthers between those influenced by Mao’s China, and those influenced by Juche and the DPRK
Lenin and Trotsky without Stalin. Che without Fidel. Yup its Western Left Anti-Communist time
Ah yes, left (anti)communism, an infantile disorder
Why are you continuing this beef?
Because the more I dig into that site the more bewildering it is and because it is funny and you piggies need your slop.
Why more digging in
Why do you care?
WHERE IS FIDEL
WHERE IS MY BOY
If we’re trying to analyze this, it’s worth noting that Lenin is in the place of Judas.
On a personal level, Che was an admirable guy, but from a tactical and theoretical standpoint he was really misguided and it ultimately lead to his death. Lionizing him while villifying Fidel (it’s conspicuous that Fidel is excluded here) is disparaging Che’s greatest accomplishments in favor of glorified adventurism.
from a tactical and theoretical standpoint he was really misguided and it ultimately lead to his death
Would you mind elaborating? It’s not that I don’t believe you, but I always thought (perhaps mistakenly) that Che was known for being highly educated in ML theory and literally wrote the (or at least a) book on guerrilla tactics. Obviously he made some massive and ultimately fatal mistakes in Bolivia, but I thought that was more because he misunderstood the political situation (the material circumstances) there. Like, he was wrong about how things were and what was going on in Bolivia at that moment, but that it wasn’t a failure in his understanding of theory or tactics so much as their misapplication to the specific circumstances. Is that incorrect? Am I just splitting hairs?
This is the difference between tactics and strategy. Che was an accomplished fighter and leader, but he took the wrong lesson from the massive W of the Cuban Revolution. He applied the guerilla foco theory dogmatically (out of personal desire to fight for the revolution), rather than adapting the strategy to the conditions he faced. So you’re not incorrect, but that misapplication is crucial. It failed in the Congo and it really failed in Bolivia.
This video explains at the timestamp Che’s theory and what were the problems with it, why his struggle didn’t succeed outside of Cuba.
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
It turns out, db0 also lives rent free in our heads apparently.

Hexbear providing free housing for all the libs, and they hate us for it.
Hey he started it. I mostly paid no attention to him aside from reporting an occasional horrible comment. After the defed vote I decided to investigate further and I just keep finding goofy shit like this.
(the banner is actually pretty dope, it’s just very funny considering who their admins are)
There’s also Gramsci, Luxemburg, Allende, and Trotsky, all of whom were communists or very close to it.
I’m just here because I love drama 💅
I just post stuff like this knowing all the people smarter than me will elaborate further on why it is so funny and they really came out in spades for it here.
Marx hated Bakunin because the latter was an idiot, same with Lenin and Trotsky. United left front dreampt up by the utterly deranged.
More like because Bakunin was a systematic wrecker. They were friends for a time before.

Also same with Lenin and Trotsky. lol
Trotsky had a period of relative basedness when Lenin had an eye on him, but they were never friends, Lenin never trusted him enough.
Trotsky was literally the only major bolshevik figure who wasn’t at some point an active detriment to getting shit done in 1917, and I am including Lenin. Trotsky’s “wrecker” tendencies came after Lenins brain exploded. Until then he was just annoying.
Note that Trotsky was also not great in 1917. All the coolest bolsheviks on 1917 were the unnamed bolshevik soldiers who kept demanding more revolution and dunking on nerds saying it was anti communist to do a revolution
He was a detriment, ex. with the Red Army he made the mistake of not pushing fully into the caucasus after the crippled enemies, instead he moved his army and went and attacked somewhere completely different and left the army to regroup
Read The History of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union
I dont think individual battlefield decision is the road you want to go down for comparing Trotsky with other Bolsheviks. In fact doing so with his military record at all is silly.
Read… Well, literally any book about the October revolution and the Russian civil war. Just pick up any random one.
Edit:To rephrase. I was talking about 1917 before. Changing the subjct to the civil war in general isn’t going to make anyone look good. The whole affair was filled with stupid decisions by every high ranking bolshevik and if we go through them nobody is going to come out looking even remotely competent, but Trotsky is probably the one that ends up looking least bad. SPECIFICALLY FOR THE CIVIL WAR.
I’m sorry, I misread your comment. I should have paid more attention.
Marx also hated him because Bakunin was a raging antisemite who would frequently try insulting his opponents by calling them Jews
literally who cares?
Trot time baby
