@necropola @lorkano Wow I hope the rifts are more exciting than that video shows, that looks kind of boring. I was looking more for like the Rift MMO, where the whole landscape changes and mobs are pouring out.

so as someone who took a break from GW2 at EoD launch after finishing the story what about this warrants a purchase? Everything I’ve seen so far hasn’t been…amazing and the only thing I’m immediately excited for is the weapon changes but that seems hardly worth buying an expansion for. I guess this would finally push me to stop relying on HoT gliding and actually unlock the flying mounts though.
Just wait till after the release and see if it’s for you.
I can’t believe that we get sold a palette swap as an expansion. That coup during IBS really ended an era.

Normally I preorder expansions and I will 100% be getting this too, just gonna wait and watch if I should get it full price or on sale.
Kind of what I did. First “expansion” I bought the basic verson instead of the ultra deluxe edition.
