Wow. This looks really bad. But really can you imagine the sheer terror you would feel in a submarine mishap.
Hopefully it imploded, which would have been too fast for their brains to register.
With every news story about this submersible, my expectations for a good outcome for the people onboard falls.
It sounds more and more likely that this machine was not capable or barely capable of the expedition.
So, like the Logitech F710 they used as the control interface… it makes sense to use a prefabricated control interace. (cough, cough, gamepad, cough,) But like. there’s a reason those used to sell for thirty bucks. decades ago. They were cheap.
They bought things like lighting from Camping World. Probably bought the cheapest LED lantern they could find. The thing was built in house and everything was more or less slapped together.
