Hi r/fossdroid community!

I’m excited to announce the completion of our changeover to normal bans. Softbans will no longer be utilized by our subreddit, as Reddit has finally distinguished me as active enough to change moderator permissions. As a result, u/ubertr0_n now has the ability to ban users.

For some reason, when she was originally added to the subreddit, she didn’t have such permissions.

I’d also like to announce that I’m looking for more mods to join the team! Since we just hit 45,000 members today, I feel that 2 active mods is simply not enough. I see a lot of things popping up in the mod queue.

I will not be accepting applications for mods, but instead I will be looking at active users who provide good advice. I will add moderator notes to users who seem like good candidates, and may reach out if I believe you’re a good fit.
