I honestly don’t understand why people mock them. Is it silly? Sure is. But they’re having fun looking for a lake monster. Let them have their fun so long as they aren’t hurting anyone or damaging anything. The world’s a shitty place, let people enjoy things.

I don’t even get why people still believe in Nessie when the first sighting ever reported that started the whole hunt for this cryptid was confirmed to be a hoax.
