(Didn’t know there was a book club flair, that’s awfully convenient!)

Hi all, I run a philosophy book club that’s been going since the pandemic and I think it’d be cool to get a few new faces. It’s a chill affair, discussion is apolitical most of the time and it’s definitely not a woke atmosphere (nor a reactionary one, for that matter). We read a mix of ancient and modern philosophy. We’re just wrapping up Plato’s *Symposium* at the moment. Past reads have included *The Brothers Karamazov, The Geneaology of Morals, Meditations on First Philosophy, The Prince*, and *The Republic* to give you a sense of the kinds of books we tend to tackle. Very occasionally members write essays and we discuss those as well, which is a lot of fun.

I think we do a pretty good job of keeping the discussion substantive, and you’re likely to actually learn something and meet some cool folks in the process. It’s definitely a welcoming environment for the politically homeless moderate, and for religious and non-religious alike.

We’re going to be doing Spinoza’s *Ethics* in a few weeks and likely be on it for a while, so this is a good time for me to get some new people involved. If you’re interested, DM me and I can send you details.
