Bankhead was an old mining town on the Cascade Mountain (Alberta, Canada).
The area’s now in Banff National Park and the town is a tourist attraction, so it’s not quite as abandoned as some of the places posted here.

That’s really neat, I never knew they came in a fireless version. Fireless Locomotive
I was imagining a boiler explosion in a mine with a tank like that. Usually they just used minecarts attached to a steam donkey on the surface.
Anybody check the inside for the bones of indigenous children?
