TLDR: Samantha Steele, 45, has been charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol in the 5000 block of North Ashland Avenue, on Chicago’s North Side, police confirmed.
The incident report, the Sun-Times says, reveals police encountered two damaged cars, and Steele told officers she drove into another vehicle.
According to the report, police say officers spotted an open bottle of red wine on the passenger side of Steele’s car and observed that her eyes were “bloodshot and glassy.”
The report says Steele refused a field sobriety test and said she wanted her lawyer. Then she was arrested and handcuffed after complaining of pain from head injuries, according to police, and was being treated at a local hospital.
According to the police report, the Sun-Times says, during her arrest Steele “repeatedly said, ‘Is your penis that small?'” to an officer.
According to the Cook County Board of Review website, Steele is a native of Bridgeport on Chicago’s South Side and now resides in Evanston. She represents the Second District on the Board of Review.
