I had a cat that hated when my wife danced. It would attack her like they were the same size.
That’s a strange looking hat to be fair (or is it the perspective?) - the frontal part is missing.
It looks like the forward part of the brim is edge-on to the viewer, so yeah, probably perspective.
The shade of the hat is bending slightly so the front is directly towards your point of view.
So yes it’s perspective. There is nothing wrong with it IMO.

You cat may be autistic…
Cats are just like this, which is probably why so many of the autistic people I know like them so much.
Not all cats. But some more than others. Like on a spectrum. (Maybe all of them are in a spectrum, but our dog was afraid of similar stuff AND socially incapable AND a picky eater AND had triggers AND rituals,… still not really autistic by a medical sense but a human would have ticked lots of ICD 10 boxes.)
