Lady Gaga explained why ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ didn’t ‘connect’ with audiences how she ‘intended’ it to.

“People just sometimes don’t like some things. It’s that simple,”

It’s that simple! All art is value-neutral and whether you like it or not is a completely random occurrence.

Rather explains the film, doesn’t it.

It’s the classic “I guess people just weren’t ready for it” excuse executives put out every time something fails.

If you’re going to take that route, you do it with style at a bare minimum. Tell us “haters stay picking the corn out of my shit” or something. Have a little class!

Have to give her credit for acknowledging that. And I’ve never seen or listened to anything by her, just not my thing.

      More people could learn this.

Eh. I mean, I’d give her way more credit for saying, “we put out a bad movie.” Instead of sort of side stepping blame by saying people just “didn’t like it.” Making the viewer the subject of the statement puts it on them not liking it, instead of saying “the movie was bad and that was reflected by the audience reaction.”

There is. O credit to.be given when they don’t acknowledge it was a shir movie. Yes art is somewhat subjective but there are very clearly detectable turds about there… or very clear money grabs… she should says… we fucked up… that would be respectable… imo

I liked it. I’ve been around people who sing lyrics to fit certain moments or emotions. I found it to be pretty spot-on. “Real” musicals aren’t realistic.
