Rupert Murdoch, 92, announced Thursday he is stepping down as chairman of Fox and News Corp, giving way to his son, Lachlan.
In addition to the fact this was long overdue (he is 92) this man has done more to erode US liberal and democratic values than any individual political movement could have.
Obviously, I do not have a crystal ball and I cannot see alternative outcomes, but I believe Trump and the modern day GOP could not have happened without the aid of the corrosive narratives he pushed and allowed to flourish at Fox News.
Sadly, I don’t think anything will change because his son, Lachlan Murdoch, is taking over and will probably run things the exact same way.
@CoffeeAddict anyone that gives the “Biden is too old and should retire” should get a “the TV station you watch religiously has been ran by someone older for the last decade” response.
