I’m genuinely excited about this move. I didn’t catch many Leicester matches but so recall him standing out. Hopefully he fits in well with whatever Ange has in mind for the team.
I think he scratches the itch that we’ve had ever since Eriksen left. We’ve really struggled to be creative in the middle third since he left, and from what I’ve seen of Maddison that’s something he can definitely offer. Feel like this could be an important part of us playing decent football again.
Honestly can’t believe this for a few reasons
- reasonable fee
- early in the window
- not too much speculation or drama
Very good business, for once.
Still desperately need to sort out CBs, and I’d like to see more physical strength in midfield, but it’s been a good start to the window for us.
Maddison in mean that winks, lo celso, Tanguy are all out for sure
Leaves us with Madison, peh, Skippy, pape sarr, and when healthy, betancur. That’s some freedom to play a few different styles and could see sarr and betancur flourish
