Went shopping for new boots, brought home a front tire for one of the dirt bikes. Thankfully, like all KLR riders, I had bungies in the bag.
The guy who taught me to ride rode a KLR. that thing was a work horse.
They suck at everything… but they can DO everything. They’re also cheap, even brand new, so they tend to be a first bike for a lot of people.
they really can do everything
i love my klr. ya she kinda slow but she handles corners pretty well and ive taken her down some pretty rowdy trails. dropped her like i dont even know how many times. she keeps tickin
i think the prinipal of driving something slow, fast is more fun that driving something fast, slow. if that makes any sense. i can whip the shit out my pig, dunno if id do that on a panigale
And it’s still pretty comfy to tour on the back roads. They use a nice thick seat, which is unusual for anything that is marketed for dualsport use.
1000%
did my first 2k+ trip on her last summer. with a little sheepskin i wasn’t totally miserable
from what i know about the DR and CRF, i dont think i would be sayin the same
I had the CRF250L for about 8 years, and I loved that little thing. But no, long trips were not great. The KLR is WAY more comfortable.
ya im glad i went with the klr
i was super sold on the small bike life before i rode the klr.
i may get a faster bike, but i dunno if ill ever dump the 650 cuz its just so reliable. great 2nd bike
Yes the desire for fast bike is hard to ignore. I find I get beat up and exhausted on the faster bikes, the KLR is chill mode.
<3 KLR bros
We are currently accepting all KLR bros in this community. We will show off our milk crates and lack of seat bolts. Glory to the KLR cult!
Wait, lack of seat bolts?
