E2:If this is somehow the first post you found in your journey, this master list of apps and how to download them will help more than this post:https://lemmy.world/post/907413 Also the test flight links in the post worked.
There are no lemmy-related apps in the iPhone store. All the websites for the apps lead to placeholder websites or websites that don’t work.
E: Thank you all for your help. The websites only work when accessed via phone. Still no test flight codes yet. I’m not going to delete this because I know others are probably going to have the same struggle and question.
For wefwef specifically, it’s a PWA, so open this on Safari and follow instructions there: https://wefwef.app/settings/install
For other apps, they’re mostly still in beta and you need a TestFlight invite link. Search for the posts here and they’ll probably have the link
TY for this comment that sends me directly to the instructions! if I could pin it, I would. I am currently using it!

You should be able to save the weblink to your home screen through Safari.
except most of the apps are full at the moment, meaning the TestFlight isn’t taking any more beta testers.
Memmy should be on the Appstore in a few hours!
Been great in TestFlight, great updates
It’s a web app:
This… install to Home Screen and you can’t tell the difference between an app and a website in this case.
I went looking yesterday too. I think this is a browser only application
It is, it’s a Progressive Web App (PWA). A lot more apps than we’d think are actually PWA wrapped and put on the App Store and Play Store.
For the folks who are wondering, open WefWef.app on your phone/tablet, click your share button, and then add to desktop/Home Screen. It will make it feel like an app.
I know what you mean, it’s a huge problem for onboarding new people. Wefwef is the only one that’s actually accessible to regular users since it’s a web app, but I don’t think most people are familiar with how to “install” those.
I wonder how many redditors gave up on joining lemmy because they couldn’t find a single app?
Any TestFlight app is accessible to “regular users” too
There is also Mlem, which has a testflight build. I am using it right now.
it’s on a PWA website!
