As far as I know, this is the only place to stream this movie. The rights to the film are owned by Harvey Weinstein, and Kevin Smith tells the story about how he has been trying for years to dislodge the rights and make a sequel.
Here’s a summary of the situation.
Weinstein still owns the rights, in case you were feeling any sort of bad about streaming a movie without paying for it.
There are some versions on archive.org as well, not sure how well streaming works from there though.
This is why I still buy movies on disc. Not only are they generally higher quality than streaming, but you can’t lose access to the disc when capitalism does its thing.
I saw him live last year. Sounds like he’s given up trying to get the rights back and just moving on with his next movies that he wants to make before he runs out of time.

I’m not a big Kevin Smith fan. Just never really had strong feelings about his work, good, or bad.
BUT this movie is a classic even before you take into account that he joined the Catholic protesters outside of his local theater and was featured on the local news, protesting it:

Also, his Superman movie story to the college kids is pretty great as well:

Part 2:
RIP Alan Rickman and George Carlin.
IIRC this movie’s rights are in limbo because Harvey Weinstein personally owns some controlling chunk of that imaginary property.
Found a higher res copy floating on YouTube today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsNge_IwSj8
