City builder fans should be happy: there’s still a lot to look forward to before the end of this year.

Big shout out to manor lords as, if I remember correctly, it’s made by a single dev from Ukraine who has been heavily impacted by the current war.

This looks great. I’ve steadily gotten into this sort of game over the years. I mostly play age of empires 2, and occasionally sim city. What other games should I check out that aren’t going to bleed me dry on DLC?

Tentatively excited for CS2. Put a lot of time in the first game but after initial learning you really needed mods to make it interesting. It also wasn’t that great of a sim. Paradox’s DLC strategy is also abysmal, I see the first “expansion” is bridges and ports. I haven’t been able to find any information on what is in the expansion.

Thanks for sharing this article. Hadn’t heard of a few of these. Looking forward to Manor Lords and CS2 myself. But I’ll check out the others as well I’m sure.

CS2 gonna be epic, and I’ve had my eye on manor lords as a big ‘basic medieval’ fan but I get the impression it’s gonna take years to get anywhere. It does look great, mind.
