Hello, my phone stopped charging when using the regular lightning port. It charges fine wirelessly and I took it to an Apple Store, they said no issues besides a bad charging port. I will replace it when I return home in a few weeks. For now, if I use a connector to change to USB-C and back to lightning, it charges perfectly fine. Will this damage my phone in the long run?

Something isn’t adding up here. It’s still charging through lightning, you’ve just added an extra step after the “issue”. If it charges like this it should charge with any other lightning cable. Clear out your port for lint and try another cable.

Four cables of mine do not work, two C to Lightning, one USB to Lightning, and one quad lock USB to lightning.

Damage was cause when I emergency charged during wet conditions, apple help said this can cause damage and the Apple Store I went to said this can cause damage, and it did - I simply do not have time to send my phone in at this moment, but will in a month when I return from my trip.

Hope that clears things up for you

There should be no issues. But it’s really weird since you’re basically charging over lightning work which was said not to work properly…

If it’s charging fine I’d make sure the connectors are getting abnormally hot.

After using it for two days now, the in-between connectors get extremely hot - I guess I have to make sure they don’t touch anything else including my skin 😅
