I work with a massive importer of disposable vapes to the UK. I mentioned this to him asking if he’s concerned, he said that no one’s bothered because the Chinese (who he imports them from) will just add a usb socket to them, therefore making them ‘rechargeable’ even though you can’t refill them and circumvent the law.

More waste produced, the cost will get passed on to the customer and they’ll still sell a bucketload of them.

I usually stop by the liquor store after work and grab two pints of beer. There is always somebody in front of my buying 4-6 of these at $20 each.

I’m not judging, I just thought getting two pints was eating into my budget. I can’t imagine buying $100 worth of vapes every other week.

It really is so funny how in the US they banned flavored jule pods because counterfeit THC vapes were killing people which created a market for even MORE wasteful fully disposable nicotine vapes lol.

Plus the farm bill basically legalizing THC products. Such a legal shit show to trying to control these products lol

As a scuba diver who has cleaned up hundreds of these from the sea floor, this is such a good thing.

I wish the US would do the same. I have no issue with vapes, but the single use ones are discarded all over the streets. People don’t do that with their reusable ones.

Yeah, that’s what nanny’s are needed for. To make sure kids pick up after themselves and don’t throw their trash on the streets.

I wonder how this will go over the course of the decade globally. I know in the USA several states and cities have made selling these illegal, but you look at those states and cities on their 5 year anniversaries of such laws being created and see that nothing has changed. The convenience stores and smoke shops still sell them.

I don’t know what the solution is.

Phew, thank God. People I don’t know won’t be able to do what they want with a vape.

Now, back to living my affordable house, oh, once I get some of that cheap petrol for my car.
