I’ve been wanting to buy a pixel phone ever since Graphene OS came out, but jesus christ google is making it really difficult for me to ever justify wasting my money on such flawed phones…

I bought HTC for as long as I could. The Pixel 2 (not XL) was made by HTC. I still have it and it works very well but the battery doesn’t last long at all anymore.

My last HTC was the U11. The side squeeze was convenient and the red one was absolutely gorgeous. My biggest issue with it was how smooth it was. Took quite a few drops but never had a crack even without a case of screen protector.

This is why I don’t believe Google’s pledge of seven years of support for the new Pixel devices. If they don’t care about obvious defects in the display then why would they bother to do full OS updates for seven years?

My Pixel 6 Pro has been out for two years now, and they still haven’t made shit for progress in addressing any of the problems with it.

I went from the Pixel 2 to the Pixel 7 Pro (which I loved). I upgraded to the 8 Pro because my wife has an old phone so I gave her the 7. The 8 Pro has been… mediocre at best. It just has a lot of weird issues in apps and things just hang and seem frozen for several seconds. I’ve had to kill apps waaay more often than I should. I blamed it on Android 14 at first but I don’t think that’s the case now. My watch also doesn’t do voice commands with the 8 Pro. It worked great on the 7.
