Releasing October 24!
I’ve many hours sunk into Cities Skylines, excited for 2.
I’m hoping for better traffic AI to prevent all cars using one lane on the 6 lane freeway, a better services routing algorithm (i.e. send a garbage truck only from the same district rather than the other side of town), and moar transit options (like timetables for routes, dynamic platform signage etc…)
Looks like they baked in a lot of the Quality of Life mods from the first game. Looking forward to picking this up!
Traffic better work better.

This is the one for me. Hope it keeps most of what CS1 has and doesn’t sell them back as expansions a year from now. That and better public transport management (which seems to be a thing here) + mixed zoning would make this perfect in my eyes.
Gamepass at launch means I’ll be playing this for sure. Usually I drop off after Paradox releases a DLC or ten but perhaps not needing to buy the base game will mean I stick around longer. Hope so!
Love how it looks! I never played Skylines 1 after I got a bit of wary advice from friends on the jankiness/need for QOL mods, but I think I’m going to take a shot with 2!
Super excited for this game. Probably won’t preorder it still, but will pick it up shortly after launch.
Insanely excited for this… Hopefully my rig will be able to run it properly. And i hope the technical foundation of the game is a bit more solid than the original. As much as i love it, it does suffer from serious perfomance issues when you get to bigger cities, even on rigs built years after release…
I’m a bit bummed that I’ll start my Bachelor in CS program before I get to play this, but on the bright side in a few short years when I hopefully get my degree the modding scene for this game would have matured and I would imagine there would be quite a few DLCs out by then too so it’s a tradeoff.
It seem that they added a lot of mods on the vanilla game. That’s great!
I’ll wait for people to decipher what’s good in the trailer :p
The most important thing was confirmed in interviews at least: They’ll focus on making traffic management less tedious. Cities Skylines 1 always turned into an urban nightmare simulator in the late-game where you had to constantly manage roads and traffic.
So pretty much everything looks good. Can’t wait for this one!
Nice, that’s the part I prefer I think! Thanks!
