      most Chinese families invest everything plus everything they can borrow, into a home. if property values fall, that will be perceived as a giant loss and could be a widespread freakout. so they try to keep home values growing like forevers. a bubble that is kept growing forever?

    The average Chinese factory worker performing “unskilled” labour will have more purchasing power than western doctors, with much shorter work weeks and fantastic working conditions while the average westerner will be working 3 jobs to afford rent in their slumlord apartment and the economist will still be talking about how it is finally “over” for China because of how well they treat their workers.
