Recently purchased SAS. Love this bike!

    Oooooh my buddy has the 1290R. He let me borrow it for a weekend and I thought it was fast but it turns out I rode it in off-road mode the entire time so it wasn’t even full power. I’d probably be dead otherwise!

      Lucky you! That thing is a little ripper from what I’ve read. I also have a Yamaha FZ09, so that’s where I get my torque kicks in! But the twin is no slouch either!

      Next time you gotta put it in sport mode!

    Great bike, wasn’t used to it when trying it after my sports bike and felt like I couldn’t touch the floor safely. Weird feeling as slim not exactly short…

      Good question. The comfort is definitely better than my FZ09. A lot of people replace the 1290 seat instantly because it’s considered uncomfortable.

      I haven’t done a 600 mile day, but I have done 200m days and my tail bone is in pain at that point.

      Seats aren’t cheap for the 1290 so I’m still determining if it’s my posture, my body type, or some other thing is the issue before swapping the seat.
