Hey, does anyone else remember the 2017 Equifax breach? No? Just me?
Yeah, we’re all compromised. Thanks, capitalism.
Edit: oh, right - Equifax still gets to continue business!
TBD, they did offer $25 in a class action settlement, which probably equates to the value of permanent PII data visibility on the Internet. /S
Oh i remember.
Not only do they get to continue business, they never received any sort of punishment whatsoever. Not even a fine.
Not only that, the service they generously offered to help those affected for free in lieu of fines is a data harvesting goldmine.
You’re literally giving the company that lost control of its data, more data to use for marketing and profit.

Boss: We care about the money more.
The crux of Jurassic Park was that Hammond spared LOTS of expense for IT, lol
And everything else. Fences, signage, power systems, pre-employment background checks…
Much of that was due to Nedry turning off the security systems so he could steal and sell the embryos…because he wasn’t getting paid enough.
