Sound design full clarity dialogue with Tame Impala vs suggestive nosies with intricate electronica and intermittant heart attacks

I’m seeing Oppenheimer on IMAX later today and I’m already dreading the Nolan sound design. Is it bad? Hopefully not Tenet bad?

If you’re seeing it in IMAX you’re seeing it the way it is meant to be seen. Nolan gets shit mainly because his sound stage is setup for the theater or nice home setups, most people don’t have that and they just blame the Nolan.

It’s his art form and to produce the quality that he wants that’s the trade off.

Definitely better than Tenet but still not great. I could follow most of the dialogue but I missed a couple lines

Nah the sound design is cool especially the different explosion sound effects. It doesn’t suffer from the “I can’t hear people talk but any sound effects are deafening” issue in a lot of movies.

Not as good as mission impossible though.
