Nope, also I can see this comment in my inbox but when I click through to it it’s gone
Are the comments missing when you load the website?

I know this comment is tremendously late but I am having a similar issue while using sync. By website so you mean the official instance website(example - https://lemmy.one/ )
Yes, it got fixed when I selected both English and unspecified as my language
I am sorry but it’s seems you have misunderstood. Was your issue limited to only the sync app or was it occurring both on the app and the website
