You’re asking how I can’t do something. That question only makes sense if there’s an expection that I will be able to do the thing. When I asked why you expected me to be able to do the thing, you introduced the idea of surprise on my part and asked about that but surprise doesn’t follow logically from any preceding part of the dialogue. Hence, not making sense.
