I watched on Crunchyroll, but wow… what an episode. I cannot believe that they got the amazing animation that they did for a weekly anime. I’ve been hyped all year for this, and it totally lived up to expectations.
I think 1072 will be even more of a banger.
Definitely - I believe Megumi Ishitani (ep 1015) is involved with 1072, so it should be a total banger.

I’ve watched 140 episodes so far. Please don’t get mad when I ask this, but does Nami ever become more bearable? I cannot stand her in the show as she is in it right now.

She’s always so bossy and beating the hell out of the rest of the crew. She also acts like she’s the most important one there constantly even though she’s not. Always acts very self-important.
Nami beating up the crew has always been a gag because she is mostly the straight person of the crew. Nami cant actually beat up Luffy because he is straight up rubber. Battlewise she is probably the weakest in the crew and this is more to balance her role in the crew to get the guys in line.
Without spoiling, Nami is absolutely loyal to Luffy and will have her moments. She will also be shown as a very caring person even to other people she just met.
Remember that Nami literally carried the burden of an entire fucking island.
In short, yeah it improves.

Mm, I thought it was ok. I found it frustrating when the animation style kept changing every few seconds, and certain bits of animation didn’t have enough frames and went by too fast so you could barely tell what was happening. This is especially noticeable at the bit where Luffy deflected the Blast Breath.
I think next week’s episode will be much better as it’s by Ishitani!
