I yo-yo with my weight and my doctor was on me about it and wanted me to exercise more but warned me against doing anything Crossfit claiming the squats and jumps have led to an increase in her seeing knee injuries. But, I will say that it seems to be a big thing right now in sports. In the women’s world cup that’s currently happening one of the commentators mentioned that over 20 competitors were out with ACL injuries. [NYTimes] article about it.
If you can afford to check with a doctor, ask them, they may think differently than my doctor. It’s entirely possible she was letting me down easy on what I should and shouldn’t do.
