Native to the south of Texas from just above the Rio Grande Valley in and down into Mexico. Small yellow fruits are edible, and were eaten regularly by the natives that used to populate the area.

Have you tried those fruits?
I have, but only as they are yellow. They turn red as they ripen. Theyre a bit tart when yellow and supposed to be sweet when red.
If i ever find them ill be sure to try them for you :)
