Hello, dear fellow lemmings,

I am writing this post as a main information thread about the current state of this community and some future plans. I started this community as a free and open alternative to the r/minimalism subreddit. As a libretarian, freedom and openness are very important to me, which is why this community is hosted on such a wonderful platform as the fediverse.

A community is formed by individual members who voluntarily choose to share their time and knowledge with others of like mind. This should also be the core of this community. It should serve as a place of exchange and a point of inspiration for those who are concerned with the topic of minimalism.

In this sense, all actions and initiatives are to be undertaken solely by the members of the community. The task of the mods should therefore be to implement these decisions and the rules that have been drawn up. They should always act in the interest of the community and be accountable for their actions. This is in clear contrast to many subreddits, where mods often abuse their power to push through personal agendas and interests.

We are currently still a small community that is in the process of being built up, so any action that creates a pleasant group atmosphere in our small lemming family is highly welcome.

Peace out!

I am very grateful for any feedback on my ideas, but also on the visual aspects like the logo or the banner. I am also happy about anyone who is willing to take responsibility and apply for the mod function. I hope we can democratise this somehow in the future. At the moment you can just send me a message.
