I kinda like lemmy where you can up and down comments but there is no total user karma score. This may lead people to use the voting appropriately imo.
On reddit, i avoided checking my inbox at ALL because anxiety and whether or not I was making an ass of myself. Which I was, but last I checked I had 50k over about a year. I traded one addiction for another apparently. Drugs for reddit.
In the end its kinda arbitrary and meaningless and I’ll still speak my mind, try to be genuine, and somewhat mindfull. So downvote me, it probably won’t change my mind (:
