I’m not familiar with the material conditions of the country and how popular the EFF are, or how the election process is carried out, to know what to expect. But from South Africans and those more familiar what’re your thoughts on the upcoming election? Will the ANC continue to rule? Does the EFF have a chance? Will another party take over?

This is a question I was researching some time ago, and I wold really like if someone from South Africa could say something. It seems like ANC is losing legitimacy, and is somewhat stuck in social democracy and liberalism, but I can’t understand why the communist party still endorses them. I think EFF can increase it’s presence, but as it’s the third or fourth politic force I don’t expect them to win.

The SACP endorses the ANC because they’re essentially the same party. The SACP, just like the ANC, has fallen victim to opportunism. This is what happens when you think you can collaborate with capitalists.
