Need to have Swarm intelligence for that, enemies normally don’t alert others.
Depending on your loadout, something to blind then ranged damage is one good option, the other is to just walk up to the skelly so the robot can’t shoot you (e.g. yellow seed to avoid taking hits).

And yes, that’s all excellent advice. That’s how I deal with a lot of ranged enemies, but most of our battles start with me opening a door, getting face-blasted, then closing the door and holding down the wait button. Then as soon as they open the door, they’re in melee range where they are easy prey; especially with the sneak attack.
It usually costs just a few turns, but this time it didn’t go as planned, and turned out to be a whole comedy of misunderstanding. 😂
