A friend recommended these for me, as a good pair to wear while out biking. I saw on Reddit, though, that they got delisted from Amazon for farming fake reviews.

Do y’all know about this brand? Is it worthwhile for passable audio+mic, or just cheap shovelware?

I had a set of Taotronics SL79s and I quite liked them. A pretty sane response curve and good battery life. Only gripe was at the time, they were SBC only.

As for the fake reviews thing, it was because RavPower, a related company to Taotronics did that so they all got yeeted off of Amazon.

That being said, do check on sites such as Rtings as each product line might be tuned differently in terms of sound.

I have earbuds and a speaker from them, both are pretty decent for the price. They’re better budget hardware. Excellent customer service should you have issues.

I have some soundbars and Bluetooth receivers from them. They’ve all worked well, regardless of price. I got no issue recommending them.

For wireless headphones I went with SoundPeats TrueAir2 for better battery life. They have a bunch of models to choose from also.

No idea what the current state of taotronics is, but back in the day (early to mid 2010s) they weren’t so great. They were the overpriced add ons that cell phone kiosks would try to sell you when you bought a cell phone. Bluetooths headsets, headphones and other stuff that wasn’t terrible, it isually felt premium, but would always end up lackluster and shoved in a drawer.

They could be better now, I just remeber them as kinda overpriced crap back in the day
