After all these years I’m rarely surprised by medical misogyny, but finding out that the research from the first ever tests on period products using blood instead of water were published LAST WEEK is one of those surprises.

    Why kill animals? It’s not like menstrual products don’t work and then just keep buying the stuff that works more than others…

      Animals are being killed anyway; the blood is often wasted and very cheap to obtain.

      But you miss the point. Because there is no information about the amount of blood that any given product can contain, doctors have no way of knowing how serious the bleeding from a heavy period is. The article discusses it, if you care to read it. Or you can just carry on defending already dead animals and calling women stupid. Your call.

        Yes because saying I don’t want animals being used to test stuff that can be tested by just using it I am not calling woman stupid
