The source they use for the claim in the article is literally a pro-Ukraine Telegram profile (vchkogpu) but they get to pass it as a credible Russian source because the Western audience who doesn’t speak the language and won’t lift a finger to actually verify the information they’re being fed won’t know better.
It’s astounding how much of just flat out fake information started being spread around on mainstream media after February 2022, we’re at a stage where big publications like Politico are reposting insane Ukrainian myths from Telegram channels.
