It doesn’t. Fair.
Bit why can’t you just energize the trinket and destroy it to at least get some energy back?

You should be able to use Transmutation scroll on a trinket. Alternative is you do a Metamorphosis and change your Heightened Senses for some other talent.
That would make Transmutation an interesting way to roll for high-energy upgraded Trinkets, which I suppose isn’t too OP, since you’re not guaranteed to have Transmutation.
