My brother is a conspiracy theorist, and I struggle to have the confidence that these lunatics have, the certainty with which they scream and yell about deep states and cabals. It’s more of a lack of confidence, it’s a fear response that leads to self-victimization and boatloads of nihilism and depression. This is also a feature of the USian system. They’re not lunatics, they’re incredibly, incredibly scared but have no theory nor understanding of history to help them.
