As a fellow Gooner, it’s pretty clear Sambi’s got loads of potential, he just is not far enough along developing it to be immediately useful to the process. Especially after this season just ended, where we’re that much further ahead of where we thought we’d be - we just can’t be spending the minutes on developing a player like that. Burnley under Kompany would be great for him, I think.
He definitely fits the profile of players we are looking for. That said, if the deal isn’t right Kompany isn’t one to stay in a protracted transfer negotiation for long. He’ll have other irons in the fire.
Can only loan two players from other PL sides so it will have to be just right.
