Five people aboard a missing submersible near the wreck of the Titanic had just hours left of their presumed air supply on Thursday, the fifth day of a massive multinational search across thousands of square miles in the remote North Atlantic.
Yeah they’re bunch of over privileged entitled pricks and I’m angry that people with that kind of money to blow exist and got themselves into this mess because they think rules don’t apply to them, but I am absolutely unable to feel any glee in this because it’s a really fucked up way to go if they’re trapped. Just imagining it makes me nauseous. I just hope the sub imploded and they died a quick death.
I happen to watch a news channel that covered that immigrant ship in Greece as it happened but the sub definitely attracted more interest and conversations… I do think the schadenfreude has to do with a lot of it.
