I have a very crazy story about a liberal coworker who was obsessed with Hamilton. I have never seen the show and at this point I refuse to. I’d rather read X-Men comics about queer polycules on Mars.
I had a lib younger friend who was super into it. This was at the very beginning and I had no preconceived ideas about the show. We did a road trip once, and she played it on the car stereo. I heard a few of the songs and I was totally turned off by the style and by what it was saying.
I’m guessing that marginalised people making media calling white men OK is a pretty successful grift industry.

LMM’s musical style is so corny it hurts. It’s always really obvious when his work comes up in the newer Disney movies.
Literally the only place I can say I tolerate his music is Encanto; and even then I still want him kicked down a stick pit
