As someone in Seattle during CHOP/CHAZ, if it’s anything like that, you and everyone saying ‘raised to the ground’ is full of shit.
Sorry, I thought my intense sarcasm was clear, it’s absolutely a bullshit story.
Unfortunately, in my experience, people say it with a straight face! My family from the South was in a tizzy and I was like “its only a block and the people who started it got chased out by small gangs and groups who saw an opportunity and used violence. No one is being held hostage!”
Ironically, they would have opposed any financial relief for the area, too. -_-
Did they at least believe you when you told them everything was fine, or are they too far gone?
