I got mine about a month ago and love it. Congrats! Give us another review after you’ve used it for a bit.
Been using mine about a month now. I love everything about it apart from:
Overall i’m really happy with the purchase and getting some good use out of it.
I agree, the speakers are a bit underwhelming. But, I don’t use my laptop for consuming a bunch of media, I have TVs and radios/speakers for that. I mostly use it to watch the occasional youtube video when trying to sort something out so sound quality isn’t as important.
I quite like the screen, but I see what you’re saying. Similar to the speakers, the lack of contrast isn’t a big deal to me. If I were watching a lot of movies or playing games that would probably be a real bummer. For scrolling the web, writing, and checking email it is more than adequate.
Glad you are enjoying it otherwise! Perhaps they’ll offer upgraded screens and speakers in the future, being repairable and all…
Yeah don’t get me wrong, overall i’m happy with it and they definitely aren’t deal breakers, there are other positives which make up for these downfalls. Just some areas of potential improvement.
Even just a few grill holes in the chassis so they’re top firing speakers might help.

I have to agree with the speaker thing. I upgraded to the 80db speakers, and TBH I can’t notice a difference at all. I suppose the new speakers as slightly better, but without a side-by-side comparison, it just feels like both are bad.
Other than the speakers and not-excellent battery (and the missing BIOS update issue), I love my 2 frameworks and I’m happy to keep using it.
