After liberating a concentration camp in Nazi Germany, a frustrated soldier went into a nearby German town. He wanted to ask questions, how could this have happened, why didn’t the locals do anything? Did they truly not know what was happening?
He asked a local baker and the response was written in his diary. It made the soldier completely forgive the German people, I have here written it in it’s entirety: “Yeah I knew what was going on and while I didn’t agree with it, they brought it on themselves, so why should I care? They should’ve voted harder for Hindenburg.”
