The reality is that you’d probably just look like a dick. A fair number of Vietnam vets were conscripted, and even the ones that weren’t are probably pretty traumatized by the experience.
I know, I know, you shouldn’t sympathise too much with someone who was very much in the wrong, who might still be a very racist person, but the way to get through to them and to most normal people around you is just to be a normal chill guy.
Also, practically speaking you’d probably get people confronting you about it, judging you, treating you worse, etc etc. Just an all round silly idea.
My experience wearing any kind of political clothing in the US is like putting a target on yourself for the weirdest people to approach and argue with you
