We have a mosh pit of 93 statewide projects on tap this summer (and that does’t count day-to-day maintenance, emergencies and local city and county projects!), which means that if you drive a vehicle just about anywhere, you’re almost certain to encounter road work. If that feels like a lot, it is! The truth is, we’ll be doing more road work than ever the next few years. But we have to do this work. Here’s what you can do to ride through the CONCRETE CARNAAAAGE: - Get familiar with the WSDOT app and our real-time travel map. (Search “WSDOT travel map” on your favorite search engine) - Consider alternative ways to get around — such as carpooling, bicycling, buses, Link Light Rail, the Sounder Train or Amtrak Cascades. - Give yourself plenty of time to get wherever you need to go.
