I agree, luckily the “FF7 Remake” is actually a late era sequel with a big meta-narrative component which means it’s thoroughly its own thing and doesn’t take away from FF7 (which still totally holds up on its own) at all.

The others are just “rerelease the game in modern Unreal Engine” which is blah
