I have a theory that there is a impossible trinity (like in economics), where a food cannot be delicious, cheap and healthy at the same time. At maximum 2 of the 3 can be achieved.

Is there any food that breaks this theory?

Edit: I was thinking more about dishes (or something you put in your mouth) than the raw substances

Some popular suggestions include

  • fruits (in season)
  • lentils

Chana masala is pretty delicious and I’m pretty sure it’s healthy. I think it’s mostly chickpeas and vegetables which are both pretty good for you.

The sauce can be fatty and carby though. Chana masala at home, sure, probably fine. Pre-made? Probably a bunch of oil and sometimes starch/thickener. So depends on your version of “healthy” and your idea of portion

Yeah, and also a lot of Indian restaurants (outside of India mainly of course) as with many restaurants are full of oil and aren’t healthy at all. Also many really are not that authentic, but as you say home made Indian food can be very healthy.
